Bettman Nature Preserve AKA The Secret Garden
This year, 2017, marks the third year I will be volunteering at the Bettman Nature Center, what I often call The Secret Garden. Why The Secret Garden? Easy, in years one and two the gardens were a mess. I had a lot of soil amending and weeding and initial planting to do before I wanted to promote the gardens. As I was digging and planting I kept thinking, I want to do more.
I financially and physically support the courtyard garden and part of the prairie, but I know I want and can to do more.
Last week, (April 2017) I, Bettman officially became a BPAC- or Bettman Park Advisory Council which means Cincinnati Parks as well as the Cincinnati Parks Foundation recognize me and my group as an entity dedicated to improving Bettman, its gardens and raising funds to support said efforts. So what does this mean to you?
You can help Bettman grow!
If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to the gardens, you may donate via the Parks Foundation, an independent non-profit that raises funds for Cincinnati Parks. Tell them that you would like your donation to benefit Bettman, and drop me a line (JenniferSmith@SundayDrivesPhotography.com), too, so I may send you a thank you gift, and with your permission, post a thank you for your donation with a photo of what your donation made possible.
Another Way to Give!
When you purchase a print from the In the Garden Series, 10% of the profits will be used to support Bettman. Or you can Buy a Plant for Bettman via the donation link, bottom of the page. When you purchase a plant for Bettman, I will share a photo of the plant(s) your donation made possible, here and on social media (you may remain anonymous.) NOTE: These two options are not tax deductible.
